Run Jason!
This weekend we decided to surprise our son with a trip to the waterpark in Niagara falls. We picked him up at school during lunch to pop the news, and he was SUPER EXCITED!
The one thing that ran though my head as we repetitively ran up what appeared to be roughly 5 stories of stairs was “wow, all my hard work is finally paying off!” Not in being less self conscious, but in being able to enjoy something that my son loves to do.
Prior to December, I would have been winded with one trip to the top, but today I probably could have kept going long after my son tired out.
That made all the time (and occasionally pain) more than worth it.
